We chose the icon of a “Green Garage” to help represent the competition because the garage is an icon of innovation, emblematic of the spirit of invention that has produced some of North America’s greatest inventions. The student teams represent the next generation of garage innovators as they work to develop the advanced vehicle technology solutions of the future. The Green Garage is a virtual portal where the public can follow the team’s designs from idea to reality and learn about the technologies. The site is also documenting the three-year journey, highlighting the testing and evaluation of team’s prototypes and ultimately, showcasing their final vehicles.
