Faculty Advisors

Dr. Greg Rohrauer has a lengthy history of leading university teams through competition events. He was faculty advisor for the 1989-90 Methanol Marathon and 1991-92 Natural Gas Vehicle Challenge, the original two in the AVTC series. After a career in professional racing, and subsequent faculty appointments, he is presently Academic Director for the General Motors of Canada Limited Automotive Center of Excellence (GMCL-ACE), at UOIT. Greg teaches Automotive Engineering and heads the Advanced Hybrid and Electric Vehicles Technology Research Lab, harboring the largest licensed fleet of highway capable electric vehicles in Canada.

Clive Waugh is Executive Director, Advancement at the University of Ontario Institute of Technology in Oshawa. In this role he is responsible for the fund development and volunteer engagement for UOIT. Clive has been with the university since 2003. Prior to this role Clive was a senior consultant with a DVA Navion.

Clive is on the Board of the Durham Community Foundation and a member of the Greater Oshawa Chamber Awards Committee. He volunteers on the Board of his Church in Ashburn and enjoys hiking and a friendly game of golf. Clive and his wife Cindy, reside in Whitby with their three children.
